Spider T-shirt Quilt

Every t-shirt in this quilt is from the University of Richmond (Spider mascot). It was fun to make and the young lady loved it. I even quilted spiderwebs on it.

Swimming quilt

This customer quilt has t-shirts, sweatshirts, towels, part of a jacket, and 2 complete swimsuits. My longarm machine did a great job of handling the bulky seams. I did have to be careful to avoid quilting where the zipper tab on the swimsuit is. I created a digital design from the swimmer clipart.

House wallhanging quilt

A customer's house quilt with a close-up of some of the quilting. This was the first time I quilted ribbon trees. Love how it turned out.

26" Innova

My new 26" Innova is up and running. I've quilted 3 quilts on in this week. Thank you Virginia Longarn Network for your help on the install.

Mississippi College t-shirt quilt

I made this quilt from 14 t-shirts from Mississippi College using both the front and back of the t-shirts. It's a Christmas present!

Teal Tiles Quilt

The fabric that looks like tiles is made from cutting four idential triangles and sewing them together.
This quilt is a long twin and is heavily quilted (for me).

Mini baskets

My miniature basket quilt that I started at least 10 years ago, won 3rd place in the miniature category. I quilted it on my longarm. lol.

Double wedding ring table runner

Although I didn't make the table runner, I did quilt it.

Quilt made using Judy Neimeyer Meandering Stars Pattern

My paper pieced Judy Neimeyer Meandering Stars quilt won First Place at the FPQG show in April. I used a pantograph quilting pattern called Blossoms with a varigated thread.

Modern Poppies - 2nd Place Ribbon at FPQG show

I quilted each area of the quilt with a different freehand design - flowers, pebbles, teardrop echo, modern baptist fan, etc. After the show I gave it to my daughter for her birthday. I think it was the only modern quilt that won a ribbon at the show.

Notre Dame t-shirt quilt

I made this quilt for a lady's daughter. It's all Notre Dame t-shirts. The sashing fabic is an Amy Butler floral. Outer 2 columns are 15" and the middle column is 13". I varied the height of each shirt to best suit the shirt without having too much background from 17" down to 5". Sashing is 2".

Rainbows

We stopped to take a picture of the rainbow. After I took the picture we noticed there were actually 2 rainbows!

Union Jack

I made this Union Jack baby quilt recently. Pattern was easy except that the yardage was incorrect. Flags are paper pieced in quadrants with sashing. Quilted with dense swirls which mimic the background fabric pattern.

Salad Bar Quilt

Easy quilt top to make. Now I have to come up with a quilting pattern to showcase my quilting. This will be a gift.

1978 quilt blocks

I was asked to make a baby quilt using some blocks that were made in 1978. I was also given the green fabric and the yellow fabric with the strawberries. I took 5 of the blocks and made 4 additional blocks. Believe it or not, I had a red fabric in my stash that looks like it belongs in the same time period. Pretty wild!



WWII airplanes quilt designs

I drew and then quilted these WWII airplanes on a quilt last week. The pictures are of the back of the quilt. Looks pretty good...

Fabricating Faces Class

I took a class at QSC (Quilter's of SC) this past weekend that was wonderful!. Marilyn Wall taught us how to take a photo and make it into a work of art using just 4 fabrics. No painting, just fabric. My daughter took a great photo of Isaac, my grandson, and I was able to make this from the photo in about 9 hrs. The lightest fabric is a little too light, but the teacher said it was the best ear she'd every seen!
