Every t-shirt in this quilt is from the University of Richmond (Spider mascot). It was fun to make and the young lady loved it. This customer quilt has t-shirts, sweatshirts, towels, part of a jacket, and 2 complete swimsuits. My longarm machine did a great job of handling the bulky seams. I did have to be careful to avoid quilting where the zipper tab on the swimsuit is. I created a digital design from the swimmer clipart.

Marilyn Wall taught us how to take a photo and make it into a work of art using just 4 fabrics. No painting, just fabric. My daughter took a great photo of Isaac, my grandson, and I was able to make this from the photo in about 9 hrs. The lightest fabric is a little too light, but the teacher said it was the best ear she'd every seen!Upstairs Quiltinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06040409127811387063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1641773939315418032.post-67990426006954685772011-10-12T18:43:00.000-07:002011-10-12T18:43:49.444-07:00RibbonsThis month I've added 5 more blue ribbons to my bulletin board.
One was for my Earlene Fowler duffle bag and tote at the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Show in Fountain Inn. I also got four at the SC State Fair for the FPQG Show quilt, a new sailboat quilt, Black and White Lime Squeeze, and a blue leaf purse.
I've filled one bulletin board and have a second one that I need to spray paint black before I put it up in my quilting studio.Upstairs Quiltinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06040409127811387063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1641773939315418032.post-39734524456081405052011-09-16T06:49:00.000-07:002011-09-16T06:49:32.443-07:00ABM Innova Longarm
My dear husband came into my sewing room and told me to smile. The room looks like a mess and that's why no one but family is allowed in my sewing room. Here I'm quilting a Christmas quilt with my wonderful ABM Innova Longarm Machine with AutoPilot.
